A barrister with 25 years in litigation practice. He served as Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department overseeing legal affairs, and lectures at AIKOL, IIUM. This workshop is built from what he has actually seen go wrong in his own chambers, not a generic syllabus.

Exhibit E — The Signature Exercise

Mock Case Management, with Mr Hanipa as judge.

He takes the judge's seat. Two volunteers stand with a real cause paper and are questioned live, the way an actual case management session runs. Every attempt gets direct feedback in front of the room. This is the closest you'll get to a courtroom before you're standing in one.

Before you ask

Is this only for pupils already in chambers?

No. It's built for pupils about to start chambering as well as junior lawyers already in practice.

Will this guarantee I get chambers?

No program can guarantee that. What this does is prepare you to perform once you're in.

I've already done a mooting or advocacy course. Is this different?

Yes. This covers the administration, file management, and courtroom conduct those courses don't touch.

Do I need to attend both sessions?

Yes, both sessions are required as they build on each other.

What's the refund policy?

Full refund if you cancel at least 7 days before the first session. No refunds after that date.
